HEALTHpactPlan.com (external link) offers a nice overview of the plans. But you can get basic information here along with links to Blue Cross and United's HEALTHpact plans.

WHAT ARE HEALTHpact Plans?

HEALTHpact plans are new health insurance plans that improve health, promote wellness and reduce costs AND provide a real alternative to exisitng plans with high premiums, high deductibles, or reduced benefits. Both Blue Cross and United offer HEALTHpact plans as a choice for small employers (Blue Chip for Healthy Options and United’s Pledge Plan). HEALTHpact premiums are 15-20% less than comparable products.

WHO BENEFITS FROM HEALTHpact?

Small Rhode Island employers and their employees. Any employer in Rhode Island with 1-50 employees can offer a HEALTHpact plan to their employees. Any employee can get additional HEALTHpact savings by completing the following three requirements at enrollment: selecting a primary care doctor, completing the pledge form and filling out a health risk assessment.

WHAT IF I AM SICK?

HEALTHpact savings are available to ANYONE completing the required forms. Overweight? Smoke? Heart disease? Asthma? Cancer? None are barriers to HEALTHpact savings.

WHERE DO I START?

HEALTHpact plans have rewards and responsibilities. Please contact your health insurance broker or insurer for more information.
