OHIC reduces Blue Cross’ Direct Pay rates
In an Order and Decision issued today, Christopher F. Koller, the state Health Insurance Commissioner, modified a requested rate increase from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island for its Direct Pay products. The Office reduced the average rate increase from the proposed 12.7% to 8.7%. The rate increase is an average - some subscribers will see increases above and others below the average, effective April 1, 2008
